Learn with me while I discover all there is to know!
Looking for a paddle?

Who am I and why do you care?

My name is Adam Becker and if you haven't been living under a rock lately you've probably heard of this new crazy booming sport called pickleball (PB).  I am a retired racquet ball (RB) player of 25 years and up until a week ago hadn't picked up a racket in 4 years.  RB took it's toll on my body and I didn't think i'd be able to play any racket sport again.

I hope you'll become a member of my site and follow me on my journey to learn this new sport.

Thank you

Pickleball in my opinion is a cross between tennis, badminton and ping pong.  Paddles are lightweight and come in various sizes and shapes and can be made of any number of materials.  Balls are very similar to whiffle balls all though the holes or vents are circular.  The court is a bit smaller than tennis with two serving boxes on each side and a neutral zone called the kitchen directly in front of the net.  Scoring, serving and playing are all a bit different and confusing at times which is one of the reasons why I created this site.

I've put this site together for a few reasons.  I couldn't find everything I was looking for as a beginner in one place.  There was an overwhelming amount of content that I had to weed through to get basic information.  I didn't know what kind of paddle I should get or if I should even invest in one.  I couldn't find many paddle specific reviews that helped me make better decisions and I found myself reading and researching way more than I would have liked.  Nothing wrong with that and now I am quite versed on the logistics behind the sport but still wanting to know more about the basics, equipment, paddles specifically, scoring and things like that.  I'll be reviewing all that and more through my blog.  Head on over there and please let me know what you think...
